Rick Thompson is a senior consultant and educator with over 30 years of international experience in technology transfer, finance, and management. He has a B.S. from Cornell University in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from INSEAD.  Following his experience in the oil industry in Africa and South America, Rick moved to the finance sector as an investment officer for a French venture capital firm and later as financial consultant to Completel during its introduction on the NASDAQ and Paris Bourse.  Rick currently combines consulting expertise and teaching excellence, working with small firms in development and technology transfer.  He teaches finance, project management, and innovation to Masters students and executives, incorporating computer game simulations. He offers related courses at ESG Management School and also directs the Environmental and Innovative Engineering Masters at EPF (l’Ecole Polytechnique Féminine).
